The Needs of a Plant
Hello Parents,
In our science class, we have been learning about the parts of a plant, what they need to survive, and finally: growing our very own class plant "Bobbert"! Through this activity, students will learn how to take care of plants, as well as how they adapt to their surrounding environments (Grade 3 Ontario Curriculum, Science and Technology Expectation- 2.4 (pg 71)). It is very important for students to understand the special relationship between us, as people, and our surrounding environment so that they can learn to help take care of it. So far, we have learned the five main things that all plants need to live: water, soil, space, light, and air. For extra practice or information about new and exciting topics, here are some Science Games for you to play all together! You can review what we've learned in class so far, or learn even more about plants as well as many other topics.Let me know what you think!
