Yummy Yummy in My Tummy!!

Good Afternoon Grade 3s!

In our class yesterday, we all go to know each other and learn more about our hobbies and interests. Do you remember what mine was? Cooking! Learning how to cook is very important so that we can make sure we are all eating balanced diets from the different food groups. As we have learned in class, eating healthy food keeps our bodies and minds strong! Below, I have listed some links that you can all try at home with your family. Cooking is all about experimenting and trying new things!!

This website, created by the Heart and Stroke Foundation, has many different recipes that are healthy and taste delicious! They are great for everyone, no matter how old you are. You can share this website with everyone that you care about to help them stay healthy too!

The second website, Kidspot Kitchen, is a great link to easy and safe cooking. The recipes can all be made by children AND adults! Again, healthy yet DELICIOUS food! (They look great too!!)

Lastly, the third website, Healthy Eating Games, is a website that has many games about healthy eating. Learn while playing fun games!!

I hope you all enjoyed these links, whether you are a student or a parent. Go out, experiment and try new recipes! Let me know how they turned out!!

Sincerely,

Ms. Leung

Going on a Quest!!

Hello Grade 3s!

Below I have posted the link to Mapquest. In class we talked about our community and where we all live. Take the time to explore your neighbourhood online! You can see where you live, and what is all around you. If you want, you can also see the satellite version that shows you what your community looks like in real life! Try to find our school, where your friends live, or even where your parents work!

Have fun and let me know what you think!

Welcome Parents and Students!

This blog will be a very helpful tool for our learning throughout the year. It will allow us to communicate with each other very easily, help us learn more about each other, and most importantly: for me to share great resources with you!

Calling all students!

Hello Grade 3s! Welcome to my blog! Feel free to look around and explore. I will be using this blog to share a lot of resources and helpful links with you throughout the year. Your assignments will also be posted on this blog, so make sure you check in regularly. This is a space for you to talk to me about any questions you may have, that I did not answer in class. I will also be posting extra links related to what we are learning in class if you want to keep learning. I look forward to our year together on this adventure!

Dear Parents,

Throughout the year, I will be posting information regularly related to your child's learning experiences! I know that we all lead very busy lives and we may not have the chance to meet face to face very often. This blog will provide us with a chance to stay in touch and communicate regularly throughout the school year! You will have access to all of the same resources and helpful guides as the students. As well, I will be posting additional resources for everyone to continue learning outside of the classroom! Feel free to contact me through this blog at anytime with questions or concerns that you may have. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

See you later!

Sincerely,

Ms. Leung
